maybe i was tired. i don’t really know what hit me, but it sure wasn’t the matt pond PA + wintersleep show at the troubadour last night. i was expecting great things from two bands i greatly admire. not so, not so. first, wintersleep are better recorded than live (disappointing,) and matt pond PA is not playing much off the new album “the dark leaves.” seriously?! do you know how bad i wanted to hear “starting” live? big bummer.
